Brow lift surgery is often undertaken by people who are concerned about the forehead area, for example drooping eyebrows, loose skin or general facial lines. There are two types of eyebrow lift surgery – Endoscopic Surgery and Coronal Surgery.

Endoscopic Surgery is the most common option amongst those opting for brow lift surgery and involves at least four incisions behind the hairline. An endoscope is then used during an endoscopic surgery, which is a small camera like system that is able to transmit images back to the doctor.

During an endoscopic surgery the forehead tissues are lifted away from the bones and re positioned in a higher position. Excess facial muscle and skin are removed and the incisions are stitched or clipped. In some cases drains are required.

Coronal Surgery involves one incision across the top of the scalp and behind the hairline. This method of brow lift surgery is less used when compared to endoscopic surgery. Coronal surgery can not only stretch the forehead skin but also be used to lower the hairline.

After surgery a light support dressing is used around the forehead. To find out more about each of these bow lift surgeries and the brow lift costs involved speak to one of our specialists today.
