Breast lift surgery, or breast lift mastopexy, is a cosmetic surgery that involves the lifting and firming of breasts that have experienced sagging or stretching. Many women experience breast changes throughout their lives, especially after pregnancy and breast feeding. Breasts will often loose firmness and volume and many women can feel self-conscious about this change in their appearance.

Breast lift surgery can restore breasts to their ‘former glory’ and the procedure is often performed in conjunction with a breast augmentation. Similar procedures offered by Refine Clinic include breast augmentation and breast reduction.

See our before & after photos here.

The combined breast plastic surgery can increase bust size, increase firmness and volume and produce a more womanly, aesthetically pleasing bust line. There are a number of surgical procedure options when it comes to a breast lift mastopexy.

Breast reduction surgery (or reduction mammoplasty) is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves resizing and reshaping exceptionally large breasts surgically by removing excess tissue and creating a smaller breast that will make life easier, increase comfort and confidence. Women who have overly large breasts often have many complaints that are related to their breast size including self-consciousness, disproportioned, back aches, discomfort and they can even affect personal relationships.

The more common breast reduction surgery is performed in a way that will minimise noticeable scars. The breast reduction surgeon will make an incision around the areola and down the breast. The incision will then follow the curve of the breasts natural crease. The surgeon will then remove excess breast tissue, fat and skin to create a smaller breast. The areola and remaining breast tissue is then moved up, shaped and the breast and areola stitched into position. Your expectations need to be realistic when considering breasts reduction surgery.

Most patients are pleased with the outcome of their surgery and find that their breasts are smaller, noticeably lighter and firmer. They no longer suffer the physical discomfort that is so often associated with larger breasts.
